How we make money

Berlin Excursions is owned and run by Berlin Experiences, a Berlin tour company. We’d rather you knew exactly how this site pays for itself.

1. Our own excursions

We sell Berlin Experiences’ private excursions and tours on this site. When we compare options, ours is one of them, and we say so wherever it appears. We put it first because it’s ours, not because we think it’s right for everyone. The comparison pages say who each option suits.

2. Affiliate links

Some links to other tour operators and booking sites (such as Viator and GetYourGuide) are affiliate links. If you book through one, we earn a commission from the booking site. Your price is the same. Affiliate links are labelled “(affiliate link)” where they appear.

We only list options we’d be comfortable recommending, and we don’t list everything a booking site sells.

3. Referrals

When we’re fully booked, we may pass your enquiry to another Berlin guide or transport company we know and trust. They may pay us a referral fee. We’ll tell you when we do this, and you deal with them directly.

What we don’t do

• We don’t accept payment to rank or review anyone.
• We don’t hide the cruise lines’ own tours or the train, which earn us nothing.
• We don’t take payment for other companies’ tours.
